How do you store your stamps?

Both Wooden and Rubber??

Well i store my wooden stamps in a box file like so:

i have room for more wooden stamps ;) ^

And i have now finished storing and sorting all my rubber ones in cd and dvd cases:

I also have my acryllic blocks in here so there always to hand, and the box is a collapsable DVD box from Wilkinsons which can store a lot of ruber stamps in CD/DVD cases and looks smarter than my old method of piled on top of the wooden stamps in the box file.

After having a nightmare of a time uploading these pics, i have been finally able to upload these the right way round, (via tinypic) on the computer the images were the right rotation but after uploading they had rotated which is not much use seen as their is no rotate function on here!!!

Mother & Daughter Crafty Day

hey!

It's my grandma's 90th birthday next week so i thought i had better crack on making her cards from me and mum, till she decided she would have a go at making hers too!! To my delight we then decided today we would card make together, both giving ideas and inspiration to each other and i think i am very lucky having a mum who takes interest in my hobbies, now card making and cross stitching!!

Had a really lovely unexpected crafty morning with my mum!!

I also tidied my craft room up, wonder how long it will stay tidy hmmm...

Few of my krafty friends are feeling down so i made these cards based on the pear tree designs blog i am sure they will put a smile on their faces, thoroughly enjoyed crafting the night away!!

I really should clean this mess,

Floor is littered, chairs are piled,

Hey, today is your lucky day, RetroStampz is nearly online, if you don't already know, i am a media designer and i am pretty nifty with a pencil and sketchpad.

Forever Friends is Moving along with the times

made two more cards this afternoon, both are entries for the MAWTT challenge and the forever friends is well for the forever friendws challenge!!

The MOWTT challenge followed a sketchie which you can see in both cards and the forever friends challenge had to be 2 layers with a cheerful happy theme which i think my forever friends is quite cheerful!!

Friendship card exchange on bubble

I made my friendship card exchange this morning to tie in with two challenges on here. The sunday sketch and stamp and Sophisticat challenge blog, for the Sunday sketch and stamp i had to follow a sketchie and for Sophisticat the theme was DOTH THE NORTH WIND BLOW, I used this gorgrous tilda stamp as she is so cute, first time i have used a tilda stamp and followed other peoples colouring to colour mine in, i hope my friendship partner likes it!!

yesterday i spray painted my wooden card stand silver and LOVE it!! I also made Hilary on the bubble a surprise thank you card as she is sorting out a a4 envelope full of goodies for people that send here a SAE!! heres her card and the funky stand!!

Candle Stamping Failure - sort of

I wanted to make my friend something special for her birthday, i decided on funkying up a candle as she is into candles. after following steps precisely on the internet my candle stamping failed, it smudged and blurred and wasn't happy with the results, i used a hairdryer to transfer the stamped image but the paper kept moving, in the end i measured a piece of tracing paper and stamped that then colured in with promarkers and attached to the candle with a pretty pink ribbon, i know she will still like it, but next time i will research more into candle stamping and maybe invest in a heat tool,

here is her birthday card too as she is cat mad!!!

just a lil update before crap '09 is out, for all i can its gone for good, nothing particularly good has happened to me a few surprises here and there but thats it, 2010 for me will bring:

me becoming ever so closer to a quarter of a century.
a new, new years resolution as i actually stuck to this years planned resolution, thus being learn something new (i did, cardmaking), this years resolution is to be more active. maybe not cuutting out my eating habbits yet just need motivation for exercise, i had this as my '08 resolution and nothing happened so after this years resolution sucess i start being more active, if you talk to me on a regular basis please say things along the line as "how many times have you been to the gym this week"
a job should be on the cards surely? i'm doing enough applying, give me a job already!!
i have tickets for a gig in york in april
i have a friends themed birthday night out in the diary!!

Bits and bobs

Been a busy bee again, stitched a coaster and made a card for a friends birthday this week, and helped mum with the backstitching of her tapestry, been watching the tennis and stitching, and making sigs for people on craftbubble, need to add them to my site portfolio this week,

started backing up files for formatting my pc, however the cd drive decided to pack in, so tomorrow going to return it and see if they will replace it, i bought it in december last year (my drives last a year then break so 6 months is new to me) hope i get a replacement or can add a few quid to get a lightscribe one, they will save me loads of hassle and print onto the cd in the drive, they sound good so fingers crossed.

writing away for a notebook from craftbubble tomorrow, since i have started card making i am making last minute cards where in a free notebook i can plan ahead and be on schedule.

Finished one coaster today, on coaster one of five.

hey, not updated this in a while and i return to an award from the lovely Jo!!

Anywho on the kreative front i have been making signatures for the forumers on Craftbubble *click*

I am at a standstill with the archie bear freebie i'm doing, lots of motivation required however, all my threads have come to start the christmas design so will be starting that soon.

Made a card for a neighbours 40th party: and mum finished the cat i bought her for mothers day!!

Started stitching a coaster present today on coaster one of six however they don't take long to do and maybe could stitch some archie yellow inbetween, hmm

Monday blues, i have them!

things going wrong al day, ah well, nearly Tuesday,

did more on archie bear, so much yellow and lots more to do yet, complaining now but will be worth it in the end.

Mum finished the penguin i got her for mothers day, very pleased with the result!!

Need to plan out a friends birthday card for august, i dunno what feature image to use, hmmm

This morning the sky was grey so i decided against going to the shops and instead helped mum plant some tomatoes and beans into grow bags and put some garden waste in the green bin, which i don't mind doing as it helps mum, as she can't do much these days because of her health, i will never turn green fingered i will just help mum out, she keeps trying to convince me but it will never work, i don't mind mowing the lawn and stuff though.

We had just finished up before the sky opened, lucky eh.

I then had to work my stitchy fingers and went from this:

I'm not able to comment on peoples posts, i think its the catchpa thing, I'm using Firfox, tried using I.E and Opera with the same effect hmm,

I want to participate in some but i have no other designs yet, other than Penny Black & Forever Friends, will see if i can find some freeebies now.

not been in a creative mood today, just relaxed in the garden.

What a day thursday has been!!

my pc chair broke so had to order a new one :( the old chair looks much comfier than the new one!!

had to pick up mums prescription, cook dinner, wash pots, put the washing on, put it away. was going to stitch but got hooked to "e4" kept seeing the bland birthday card looking at me saying "be creative with me so i did and heres the result:

im impressed, not as good as piggy one for mum but its nice, now im back to watching e4, tomorrow should be better building chair and playing on my new toy wii fit!!!

Football, Flowers and Filming

Just finished watching the Manchester United v Barcelona match, we never had a chance from the beginning, their heart wasn't into playing. didn't seem to care less, no improvement Barcelona were the better team, least we have 4 trophies to show for the season and were runners up, can't grumble really!!

Started stitching another birthday card today, got a good bit done, i'm pleased for a days work:

Todays been a bit busy actually i made homemeade meatballs, which we then had linguine with for tea, very yummy!!

I then started creating characters for a video clip I'm going to design and make my main advertising feature for my site, will be on youtube and google video when its finally done, might even get a break to advertise on television, now that is setting my standards high but i will do my best to achieve my goals!!

Tomorrow i think im going to go to the gym, get rid of some of my excess energy and carry on character designing and stitching, roll on the weekend!!!

Homemade pizza is the best!!!

Finished the spring flowers card kit (will be gran's birthday card when i fancied it up!!) Final mounted result:

Also just made home made pizza and it is smelling yummy! more fun than either shoving one in the oven or ordering a take away - you dont get the smell, heres a photo :P

Curently stitching the flower card freebie, nearly finished might finish it today, ran out of green as i used 2 strands instead of one, i dont like using one strand whether its for whole stitches or back stitch lol.

Bought another cross stitch kit of ebay

I'm not going to buy any more kits till i have done at least 3 of my stash, honest i promise!!

Bought more supplies for card making, i think i have everything covered now, will start entering competitions when my stash arrives.

What's everyone upto this week? I'm doing a bit of freelancing for people and if the weathers good doin a barbie at the weekend!!

Competed Cross Stitch designs of '09

Just set up this blog to show of my crafty hands and share my designs and projects, so far i have completed the following this year:

Moving in present for my best friend! Pig bookmark for mum :)

Freebie completed (unsure of use yet) Michael Powells Greek Scene, loved stitching this, took 8 months in total to complete!! Is in pride of place on the fireplace next to the P.C

I started card making from the major inspiration from craftbubble.com and this is my first handmade card for my mum, just a general card, she loves it, she is a major pig lover!!!

I wonder what creations the next six months will bring ....

I think you should watch this space!!!
